This Week in Chuck

Winner: They teased it in the promo and I thought there was a chance it w
ould win this week, and it did! Nothing else Chuck wore could even compare to the shiny lavender suit. He did sport a fantastic plaid vest (in all primary colors) with his school uniform, but it was really no contest with the utter ridiculousness of this suit!

I watched 45 mins. of Gossip Girl this week while waiting for the season premieres of "Geeks" & "your mother" to get ahead on the DVR so I wouldn't have to watch commercials.

Why do they call everyone by the first letter of their name.

I am however hooked on 90210. You?

HA! I love that you tried watching this while waiting for your real favs! It was a pretty good episode. Also, I saw parts of HIMYM at commercials and it was awesome and cute! Love Barney more and more all the time!

I'm guessing that the initial name calling began in the books, which the show is based on. It's really how they are referred to on the Gossip Girl website that exists in their fictional universe. GG refers to them as Serena=S, Blair=B, Chuck=C, Nate=N, Jenny=Little J, and Dan=Lonelyboy. Pretty much everyone has always referred to Serena and Blair as S&B, and I'm not sure why. No more real significance that you calling me Gal, really. Just nicknames. It's just part of the meta-internet world of the show that has *all* the characters referred to by letters and nicknames. It catches on pretty quick.

I didn't watch the premiere of 90210, but tried catching parts of episode 3 or 4 (maybe both) and absolutely hated it. Hate the main girl (from Degrassi) and the snobby blonde (she was psycho-hose beast from Nip/Tuck and I hate her) and was pretty bored by everyone else. Admittedly, I didn't have all the info, but my first impression was - you are a sad set of replacements for Brenda, Kelly, Brandon, Dylan, Steve, David and Donna!

If I did love it, I would have great time making fun of the clothes, but as I can't stand any of the actors (Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty excepted) I don't see myself jumping on board this one! Sadly.
